Previously, if you tried to send an e-mail to an author via the "contact" link on their author page you received an error. This was also the case if you tried to use the "Contact the Director" form. Another error prevented me from receiving an e-mail when someone submitted something to the archive. I doubted that the story/review alerts were working, either.
